Default I just purchased an XJR

Greetings,

Very excited today I just bought a 2005 XJR with 74,500 on the clock. It is black on black with nice wood trim and stock rims.

So, I have been shopping quite diligently for about a year. But I never ran across the right car at the right price with the proper provenance. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from the internet. The first is a Toyota truck that I bought in Iowa in 2000. I still have it and it runs like a top.

My Jag, I like the sound of that "my Jag", is waiting for me in Southern California, tan rested and ready to come to Colorado.

The gentleman I purchased it from is a great guy; he has even offered to pick me up at the airport.

The car has extensive service history with the single owner at the same Jag dealership. I liked that!! I even called the dealership's service manager about the car and he knew of it. Said it was the wife's DD, the wife's double D's, LOL, and indicated it was in great shape.

So here is the plan, my girl and I are flying to CA on Friday 6/1 and road tripping it back to Denver over the next 4 days. We plan to dive about 4 hrs. a day and just have some fun. We both like to golf so we are going to take a travel set and stop in Las Vegas, Mesquite and another place to be determined to play a few rounds. Then it's off to Moab and Arches National Park. It should be a great trip.

Here is a link to the AutoTrader listing. I will post picture when I can.

Did you pay for the AutoCheck report? Appears to be a nice car.

The ad lists as a diesel. An under the hood shot would be nice.
The typical stuff. Look at the tires. Go over some low speed bumps and listen for squeaks and groans. Maybe the West Coast is not hard on the suspension bushings and boots.
Less than 10 seems like a good price for one that is well maintained.

I used www.mycarfax.com. Just key in the vin and it shoots out a report. Its not end all be all but another tool to help make a decision.

Looks very nice and great price. Check all your fluid levels before you head out. And enjoy the drive. My 2004 is a true joy to drive

Thanks guys for the input.

I know it says diesel but it's not. I'm not sure why that's in there. To drive back to Colorado I have to go to the California DMV and get a temporary tag that's "in transit" that should be a fun time spending vacation at the DMV.
