Far better to use the actual Jaguar list already on this site!

It also has the known CAUSES for each code.

And includes B, C & U codes.

Thanks, RodL. I, for one, haven't yet run across the Bible JagV8 refers to.

It's in the workshop manual. Also posted as codes PDF, and on Gus's site.

(Freely downloadable.)

The Workshop Manual mentioned by JagV8 contains a fairly complete list of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). You can download the manual in six sections from this forum at the top link Sean posted, specifically:

Table Of Contents

General Information

Chassis

Powertrain

Electrical

Body

The most complete standalone DTC Summaries guide I am aware of is 153 pages and includes most of the Powertrain (P) codes as well as the proprietary Body (B), Chassis (C) and Undefined (U, mostly Network-related) codes. It can be downloaded here:

Jaguar X350 DTC Summaries

I am also attaching an additional DTC manual that contains the best Jaguar Mode $06 data I've found in document form.

As JagV8 mentioned, it really is important to use the Jaguar documentation instead of generic OBDII lists because the Jaguar DTC definitions and possible causes frequently differ from the generic ones. Also, note that the list RodL found omits the approximately 180 Powertrain DTCs with numerals less than 1000 (e.g. P0171, P0306).

Cheers,

Don

I've got (your one and) one with mode 6 that's rev April 2008, one from May 2005, one from Nov 2003 and another from Nov 2002. They look to be a bit different so here they are - but beware not all jags support all (or even any) of the IDs. And they may not report meaningful data even if they reply to an ID!

(Some/all of these may be in the large file area / Gus's site.)

Oh - I also have one for V6 with the Denso PanPAG but who has a V6?

hanks to everyone for all their input. I have a 2003 VDP, so the X350 and beyond only covers it in limited leaps with a lot of bounds. Anyhow, it is another reference to look at.

Then get the workshop manual (free download) and it has the ones for your car - again with the possible causes of each.
