Default Leaky hose causing steamed windows??

Hello Forum,
RE: 2006 XJ
In these cold days, it seems that every time I park the car, go in a store, I come back to very steamed windows, so bad that I need a cloth to wipe the moisture off. Could it be a broken hose or the such?

Thank you

Possible leaking heater hose connection or rain water getting into the cabin.

Is there a smell or film to the condensation on the windows? That may indicate a coolant leak, other wise it could be just water coming in from a bad seal (mirror, door, etc.). You could try to test with a spray hose on suspect spots to see if it leaks.
Bad news would be a heater core as I do not recall any hoses entering the cabin area. It could be a heater hose (behind the engine, passenger side) that could be spraying into the cabin.
Good luck

Thank you all for the items to check out. Now if I could only get a day with temps above 40F outside.

I am about to clean out the cabin/pollen filter compartment tomorrow but will check the drain there and would like to check the connections to the ECU. Should I disconnect the battery before doing so?
Thanks again folks

Well with some warm weather today, I took the cabin filter casing apart and all was dry as a desert including the sponge lined inlet to the heater vent. The drain was clear also. Checked the ECU connections as well.

The floors are all dry too.
