Default Removing the Center Console and Leather Trim to Access Dash Panels on 2007 XJR

Hi all, I am trying to remove the analog clock on the dash to change the bulb on my 07 XJR and I must loosen up the center console/ leather trim - as it blocks access to the walnut panel on the dash surrounding the clock. It has been mentioned on several posts here that you have to remove the rear climate control system first and then remove two screws to loosen the entire centerpiece, followed by accessing 2 screws in the front under the J-shifter panel.. The problem is that in my car those 2 screws don't exist in the rear. See the attached pictures. I thought there would be two prominently placed screws on either side of the opening that were easy to access as described by others on this forum. No such luck with my car. Any idea how to proceed or where the screws are? I am beginning to think I must remove the center storage console and cup holders but I am having trouble with that as well. Any help would be huge. Thanks, P

The screws in the rear that you refer to only apply for the cars without the rear aircon. Please refer to the attached file for the version with the rear aircon.

You can find the complete manual here:

Best regards,

Thomas

Thomas - you're the man!! Thank you so much, that is EXACTLY what I needed - I had no idea the screws were behind the vents by the rear passengers' feet. Thanks again, P

Pop off each of the rear side vents on the console. You will find the torx bolts on each side.
