Default What's this thing called, Love?

Just after the entire bumper cover assembly was replaced by a body shop, a rut in our gravel road got me too close to a branch sticking out from a deadfall. Result: broken plastic part. Anybody know the official name for it?

Wow! $72 for this bit-o-plastic. I was prepared to visit my local wrecking yard to look for one when I found the pieces of my missing "cover" in the boot. I thought it was missing a piece when it was recovered from the side of the road, but I now see it is a slot to allow the spear to nestle in properly. I'm going to try to reassemble the 2 parts and reinforce the backside with a bit of fiberglass mat and see how it looks before I go for a replacement. Photos will follow when I get it done.

For the $16 difference in price, the new one could be the better buy.

Used should be half at the highest, more like a quarter to third of new.
