X350 rear indicator problem
Hi
This is the my first post and hope someone can advise me !
I have a 2004 X350 4.2 XJ8
When I have side lights on and select left indicator the left rear bulb lights about half brightness, the right side light flashes with the left indicator light, and the rear number plate light also flashes on and off as well !
When right indicator is selected all is fine
I am inclined to think that it may be a bad earth connection .
Would appreciate any help
Many thanks
Mike

I've got a similar problem - it occurred around 6 months ago. I tried cleaning all the earth points but it didn't solve the issue, so I've just lived with it. If you find a solution I'd be very interested to know.
Hi
I believe that I have found the source of the fault after exhaustive checks !
The fault is in the rear fuse box situated in the o/s rear of the boot (trunk)
Undo 2 10 mm nuts holding the rear fuse box
There are a number of connector plugs connected.remove all for inspection .
I found 2 to have badly corroded pins in the blocks caused by water ingress
I was able to buy a used fuse box from EBay and cutting off the damaged plugs from the harness, rewire using leads with small spade terminals ,as I was unable to source the plugs.
The Dealers wanted to sell the complete wiring harness at silly money !
I hope this helps others who have had this fault
Best wishes
Mike
