Anti-Lock Fail light after i had the rear rotors replaced.
Had this done at Brake Check. My rotors were too thin to turn, so they said. I decided to replace only the back rotors for now. I could have done it myself but the lifetime guarantee means i'll never have to do it, lol.
Anyway, my anti-lock warning light is coming on when i hit the brakes about the second or third time. The light doesn't stay on after i start the car, nor does it come on when pumpimg the brakes while the car is still stationary.
Is there a resetting procedure for the brakes? Older cars you could just pump the brakes when you're backing out the driveway.

I don't know what all that is. Is there a reset for if the light comes on and the brakes are later repaired?

Got the anti-lock warning light issue sorted out. I just disconnected the battery and everything went back to normal.

The major issue is replacing the rear-end and a few minor (i hope) electrical issues. I figure i'll get the electricals figured out one-at-a-time. The first of which is the intermittent failure of the brake lights, then the reverse lights (not working) or trunk lock which isn't not working by any method but the key (trunk ajar light on). I figure the brake lights need to be first, so here's what's happening.
I sit in the garage (door up, car running, lights on). When the brake lights work correctly there's a solid "click" below the gear-shift cover. When i'm driving there may not be a "click" so i have to check the high mount stop through the rearview mirror (sometimes yes, sometimes no) but no click. From the force of the "click" i assume there's a relay under the shifter that's going bad. I'd like to wait until i'm ready to install my stereo before pulling the center consloe apart just in case it's a more serious issue. If it sounds to you like it's just the relay i may have to just git-her-done.
BTW, what's the big star-bit screw into the gear-shift cover about?
TFYH

Lets start with the easy one-
There is a flat blade screw under there that allows the gearshift to be moved from park if the electrical interlock fails. (or if you want to steal the car by towing it!)
