What do you mean by verify? It is an XJR, and based on the VIN it is a 1995 model year. Since it's right hand drive, in your part of the world likely an import from Japan.

Hi,

I'm sorry that I did not make myself clear, here are points that need verification and also any insights ;

1. Are those numbers matched ? ( Vin and motor )
2. Is it TRUELY an XJR ?

Then more informations, if available ;

1. What to look out for ; strong & weak points of this 20 years old car ?
2. Any other knowledge that you could please share ?

Have a happy day !

Cheers,

GM.

Looks like a real XJR to me. It isn't the type of car that is typically cloned or faked.

In one of the sticky threads at the top of this section you'll find a buyers guide which might be helpful to you

Cheers

George,

The only way to find out if the engine is the one originally fitted to the vehicle is through a Jaguar Dealer who can look up the factory build specification. The VIN alone will not tell you this.

The VIN should be 17 AlphaNumeric characters which do not include a '-'. Check the VIN and re-post for a decode.

The first letter of the VIN is also an S, not a 5.
