Default Trunk will not open

Hi,
The weather was simply perfect today to fix a few things on my xj6 which went very well. Since one repair involved removing the air bag I decided to disconnect the battery. After all the work was completely I went to reconnect the battery only to find out that I can't open my boot/trunk, even with the key.
So my question is how can I get 12 volts to my car so that I can open up the trunk?

Thanks,
Jomo

Yes , The 3 large single wire terminal post on the rear upper firewall of the engine compartment are the red B + leads from the battery . And them just find a ground for the black jumper cable . It is not recommended to fully jump start the engine this way .

It is important not to get the cables from the donor battery to the jumpered car not crossed . Donor battery B + red lead to one of the 3 large single wire B + terminal post on the helped car .

Please learn to use the key occasionally to avoid the lock cylinder seizing.
