Default Trying to remove steering column shroud

In an attempt to R and R the steering column motors, I was doing well until I came to removing the steering column lower shroud. The lower of the two screws was not a problem, it's a regular Philips head. The problem was the upper screw nearest the steering wheel. It's the strangest screw head I've ever seen. It's kinda like a wide Philips screw head, but I don't know. The question is what do I use to remove this screw? Would a #3 Philips with a bit of the tip ground off work. What have others who have repaired their columns used? Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly, it is the same Philips head screw, but at an odd angle.
I had to shine a light in there to figure the angle of attack.

The motor on the bottom side has a sensor package that clips on with a big tang / tab , it just clips off

This sensor package has gears inside where the grease drags down the motor

You can clean the sensor package and give it a try

the package needs to be clocked when you put it back on the motor

you can drive the motor with a battery charger back and forth with the terminal tangs

This is a high current connection so caution and you might make pigtails to bring the final connection out from under there

It's the black square , many parts to fly everywhere

otherwise there is a TSB on upsizing the motor part # JLM 20194
