Default 2000 xj8 knock sensors

Is there a cheaper place to get the knock sensors or is there a way to bypass them?

Don't bypass them unless you want to risk the engine.

I have looked everywhere for a good deal on them and cant find one. Even trying to find ones that go to another car that will work and are cheaper

Unfortunately, modern Jags may become very inexpensive when they age, but that doesn't mean that they are cheap to maintain. What country are you in and have you checked ebay for used ones?

Work the search function and/or Google. There are alternates that are cheaper (memory, suspect at best, says Jag X-Type) mentioned in threads. X-Types had a longer lead, an easy fix.

AIRTEX/WELLS 5S5622 {#LNE1692AA, SU7015}

RockAuto has them for under a hundred dollars each.

Look in EXHAUST and EMMISION section of 2000MY XJ8.

I replaced a knock sensor 6 months ago. Autozone su7012 for the xk8. $29 out the door. Drivers side took 15 minutes and your done. Replaced bad o2 sensor month later from x-type. $60 compared to $100. My car is 2002 xj8.

I replaced one of mine a few years ago, cost about $30 on Ebay.

They are out there. See post above.
