Which antenna wire disables the motor ONLY?
My antenna mast broke. I don’t want to go through the trouble of replacing the mast because I stream anything I want to listen to and don’t need an antenna.
I DO need radio power however for Bluetooth.
My plan is to retract the antenna all the way down and disable the motor so it doesn’t attempt to extend the mast.
There’s a coupler on motor. One of those wires causes the antenna motor to power up when the radio power button is turned on. Which one?

A slightly different solution, put an extra antenna switch in!

I was attacked by a car wash brush!
I did worse, twice even before I had installed the switch. Twice I drove my Jaguar into a car wash. On both occasions I remembered to switch off the radio and thus retract the antenna. But on two occasions, whilst I sat in the car wash waiting it to finish I switched the radio on, wanting to listen to some music.
Let's say I’m pretty good at replacing antenna masts!

When I worked at the dealer, the porters that washed the customer cars when they were finished got ONE FREE antenna when they ran the cars through the dealer carwash.
They were instructed to NOT CHANGE the radio stations and turn off the radio before entering the carwash on the lot.
Most would not listen and **** customers off with a station change and LOUD VOLUME left on.
They would come back with a broken aerial and sheepish look.
The new antenna came out of the paycheck but I never charged them labor. Just a quick replacement and a good laugh at them.

I did this many a year ago, if you are one of those folks that still uses terrestrial radio and don't want the antenna up, this may be a choice for you. ... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ve-one-103359/ ...The issue may be getting a similar antenna mount (ebay link is no more), mine still sits adhered to the top of the rear window blackout. I primarily only listen to SIRIUSXM so I don't use terrestrial anymore, but why remove it.
