You showed that your car is 2000; is it maybe 2001? The blue connector is present in 2001 models and later and it is for the Cellular Phone Control Module, where installed. Basically useless now so, if the module (and phone) was factory installed in you car, the PO probably just removed it. I don't think anyone would steal it as it has no value.

The assistance of a wise guy with a diagnostic device brought ne light in the issue. There are no electronic parts missing other then the mobile phone control module.The analisis resulted in a code B1260. He will search for the codes to try to reset things tomorrow
Yeah, I remember when having a phone in the car that actually worked was all the rage.
Today, with the hands-free option, most cellular phones are far superior. Maybe we could
sue the space for something more useful....like adaptive cruise control or something.
