Default Fuel Filter Replacement 1999 VDP

Are there any "tricks" or hints for replacing the fuel filter on this model. The filter is near the bottom of the fuel tank but above exhaust and stabilizer members which makes getting a wrench on each end to stabilize the filter while removing the fuel line next to impossible. Does anyone have any special recommendations or specific tools which make the job easier? By the way, mine is the early version with screw type fuel line fittings, not nipples and clamps.

Stubby wrench may help, but it's really not too bad even without. Obviously helps if you have skinny hands and arms

16mm and 20mm open end wrenches and a little fuel in your armpits, then you are good to get the new one in place.

I always 'twirl' the old filter before I try to remove the lines so the 'O'rings release.

Does anyone know the size of O rings for filter. They don’t include with filter and want to just get from parts store locally. Thanks
