Default Glove compartment door

The door to my glove compartment closes, but not enough. I have to give it an extra push to get it to go in better, otherwise the light doesn't go out. What do I need to look at to fix this?

I'd spray it with WD-40 or some similar lubricant as well as check all hinge & mounting screws & handle to make sure they are tight & flush.

empty it first; then check to make sure the side tabs are not interfering with the closing.

Default Latches

Make sure both latches on the side are sticking out before shutting it. See post.

adjust the catch on the dash side. Torx head screw.
It's right near the light.

Clearly, your Grey Poupon jar should be stowed horizontally, not vertically. Refer to the Owners Guide, Smug section. Oh, and keep a stiff upper lip.

That is indeed the problem. WD-40?

A dry lube might be better, try powdered graphite. Then use it to give your locks some attention.
