I'm looking for decent painted Asteroid wheels for my X308 2003 XJR. I'll buy one at a time or a whole set. I have chrome rims that are pitted on my car and want to switch to the painted/powder coated ones. With or without tires on them. I'm in Los Angeles but will pay for shipping.

Are you saying you have chrome Asteroids now? If so, a wheel dent repair place can refinish them with a painted finish, they do really good work. You'll have to do that anyways with those ones from eBay since they have curb rash if your looking for a clean finish. Being in Cali, it'll probably run about $200 a rim barring the chrome removal, maybe less. No idea if that would be an extra? Mine were $125 ea originally and that was 9 yrs ago.
My Pentas shortly after my local place refinished them and still look the same today after 2 sets of new tires. Here's the guy who did mine here in Orlando... https://olympitsrimsrepair.com/ ...you can see the services he and these places provide.
What's also good about having them refinished is if there is a problem (crack, broken lip, whatever) they can fix it on the spot. Overall it should cost way less, at least 1/2. If you have an Inde' tech for your gal, ask them if they have a place to recommend to at least get an estimate.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I had my brother message the eBay seller as he's an eBay whiz but no reply. Those have been on for a while. Not sure what's up with that. I looked into painting my chromed wheels but they want 500-600 per wheel. Nothing's cheap anymore out here in California. In the mean time just had some work done on the car. Replaced a bad tensioner pulley and belt for the supercharger as I felt the power just wasn't there anymore. What a difference.
There is nothing cheap ANYWHERE! Here in Tennessee, if you mention
the word "Jaguar", the cost doubles.
Jaguar and Rolls-Royce used the GM TH400 gearbox in the 70s/80s.
That's why the Jaguar/Rolls-Royce shop I worked at one time would get a gearbox 'ball-park' repair quote on a TH400 and not mention the application.
When we brought it to the repair shop they would look a the bell housing bolt pattern and ask 'what the hell is this out of'?
They would try to charge extra but we would remind them of the quote and the arguments would commence.
I was lucky to buy set on scrap 2003 xjr the guy was selling it as parts iirc 5 years ago payed 400$ but did need paint
You can find it on car-part.com it's not expensive there but few sellers ship do search there if you don't want to spend that much
