Default P1316 & misfire on all cylinders

Hey all! Like the title states. Car is not running at all. Will crank over just fine & will run on starting fluid. It's not getting fuel for one reason or another. In my mind it's the fuel pump, or the injectors are not being ordered to deliver fuel. What do you all think?

It's normally the fuel pump.
I'd start by bridging the relay contacts in the fusebox by the battery, you should hear the pump running in the tank if it's working. Then work from there.

There is a specific fuel injector relay

You can jumper the # 1 fuel pump relay between socket 3 and 5 with a medium gauge wire with blade type wire ends

The common auto parts store can make one from a kit under the cash register , maybe for free

This will have the pump run at all times so will drain the battery with keys in pocket

Would turning the key give me the same effect?

In the manual, they're all labeled R1, except accessory which is R7.

With the turning of the key the fuel pump will run for 3 seconds only then off

once the CKPS sees engine rotation the pump will come back on for the duration of your drive , safety design

So you will have 3 clicks of the # 1 fuel pump relay , on - off - on , there is a backdrop relay and secret fuse involve to get the fuel pump relay to click

@Parker 7 Thank you for the diagram. I jumped the relay with no response. I'll put a pressure gauge on it just to confirm.

With a good ear you can hear the pump first 3 seconds from the cabin , better with the trunk fwd liner removed and listen in trunk

There is a fuel pump ground wire post for the pump alongside the battery area

So large 2 sockets 3 and 5 on the relay holder ? socket 3 should be hot at all times from battery and the big power fuse ( # 15 / 20 amp ) is after the relay

pic coming

Might first try resetting the fuel cut off switch: inside the footwell on the right side under the carpet.

@Jhartz I tried it. No luck. Thanks for the heads up, though.

@Parker 7 Thanks for all the diagrams. They were a big help. I searched the site, but didn't see a writeup for a fuel pump swap. Do you know if there's one on record here?

With the normally aspirated you will only have the # 1 pump , Supercharged 2 pumps

With the crash / inertia switch it is fickle and does not always reset from reading others , this crash switch only effects the control of the fuel pump relay and not a direct powering by jumpering socket 3 to 5

You can use a paper clip between wire X and wire Y of the connector , paper clip works fine for my inline 6 X300 with different wire colors
