Default Question about Fuel Pump

Hello Forum Members- well I finally got my tank out on my 2000 jaguar xjr and the bottom fuel lines were an absolute challenge- thanks to all the members who gave guidance along the way and the great posts from previous fuel pump issues- hoping you guys can bail me out again- once I got into the tank the rubber fittings that hold the pumps in the brackets are in pretty bad shape crumbling etc- so I had to stop the reinstall- anyone know where I can get replacement rubber mounting gaskets ( my pumps did not come with them) any solutions for this issue thanks for considering - I appreciate all of your help Cole

Whom did you get the pumps from and what kind? I bought Denso's (Amazon) and they came with them. I would take them back, if local, and show them they should of had the gaskets.

Even Parts Geek shows the gaskets... https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20...fuel_pump.html

Some of the aftermarket pumps have isolators that need trimming but will work to mount the pump.

I keep a sharp razor knife to trim the parts to fit the mount bracket!!!

I ordered them from Summitt Racing they are URO CN32866 and they did not come with those gaskets ( they are a perfect fit) I did not think the existing gaskets would be in such bad shape I thought I would be able to reuse them- so much for thinking right lol if there are no aftermarket ones to be had I will have to return them and look for different pumps- thanks for your help

I got them from Summit Racing- they are URO C2N3866 - they showed that they did not come with the gaskets- I thought I would be able to reuse the existing gaskets- so much for thinking- I was looking to buy Denso pumps as well but did not see them listed for my 2000 XJR- funny thing is the $500 pumps sold by Coventry west dont come with any gaskets either- (not that I could spend 500 for one pump- I will have to look for another alternative if I cant find the gaskets. Thanks Cole

What about that link to Parts Geek I provided? ...or this on Summit... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dfp-fe0479 I've bought lots of stuff from Summit for my Vette and you have to specify and/or verify gaskets to them sometimes. They do a lot of ala cart, you have to be aware of that. It never hurts to ask to be sure. Summit will take them back, especially when you explain the lack of needed gaskets, they're very good for that.

Like Bob says about keeping a blade to trim islolators, the ones for my pumps needed it.
