Quick question -- radio fuse location?
This should be a quick/easy answer for the Forum:
Just purchased a 1998 XJ8 with low miles.* Presently, the Harmon Kardon radio is not working.....hit the button, no lights, no antenna, no nothing.
1. In general, what would be common causes for this that I can troubleshoot?
2. The car was stored/unused/battery disconnected for a bit...I've heard rumor that sometimes there needs to be a code entered to get the radio working again in such a case? True?
3. Where is the radio fuse located, so I can try that as a fix?
Thanks all for your quick help!
* Yes, the tensioners have been done.

Glad you found some answers, here's a few others....
Radio fuse is shown in your Jag reference manual that came with the car or your can use... JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource ...excellent site to Bookmark for future references.
That link will also have reference to the radio issue you are having.
I don't believe codes apply the North American (NA) models?
Here's an old thread on a US locked radio... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-radio-126745/
This is why I almost immediately swap out the factory head unit and put in 3rd party. My work van radio still has the sticker on the fascia in my closet.
