Default Rear Deck 6x9 Speaker Repair

Removed the 6x9 rear deck speaker this morning and definitly found the source of the horrible rattle I had in the sound system. I looked at a few speaker repair sites and could not for the life of me find a repair kit for this Jaguar H/K speaker. I don't listen to loud music and want to keep the factory speaker so a repair will do just fine for me - has anyone repaired the OEM speaker and know where to find a rebuild kit?

SpeakerWorks has generic 6x9 foam repair kit.
I also bought from SimplySpeakers for the same size generic 6x9 kit.

I keep a repaired HARMAN CARDON and an ALPINE subwoofer on the shelf because the connectors are different.

Perfect, thank you. I did see the standard kit on simplyspeakers but wasn't sure if they'd work on mine. So this would work - https://www.simplyspeakers.com/speak...t-fsk-6x9.html

The Duchess still sounds pretty good, probably because she is kept out of the sun for the most part.
It is my understanding that heat causes the foam to become brittle. I noticed an aftermarket rear
speaker replacement from audiofrog, which is making waves (no pun intended) in the audio circuit.
However, I tend more toward the repair kit, Bensalem, as it retains the original stock appearance.
Thanks for the link, I probably should order that for when the inevitable happens.

If the replacement speaker is NOT a dual voice coil unit, you will need some thought about how to wire up the new one.(one side ONLY or TWO replacements?)

He is repairing the original speaker, so no issue with the connections.

As Randy said, want to fix the original. Will any generic 6x9 kit work? I see a lot of different kits for different makes/models but none for Jag HK specifically. Guess I'll try the generic kit and see if I can make it work.

Just to follow up in case anyone else needs to make this repair in the future, this kit from SpeakerWorks worked perfectly and speaker sounds good as new - https://www.speakerworks.com/6-by-9-...t-p/swk69a.htm
