Hey everyone, so I’m trying to take the supercharger off and if I’m not mistaken, it’s 4 short bolts in the back that connect the throttle elbow, and 2 longer ones in the front.
I’ve removed those 6 bolts but the supercharger doesn’t want to come out.
I’m able to wiggle it a few millimeters side to side with a crowbar but front or backwards it won’t budge.
Every video I’ve watched they said it should come right out so I don’t want to fight it if I’m forgetting something.
As addiceted says, TB off, possible egr off, elbow off. Then you see the third bolt. Do not use crowbar. Those short hoses that are for air recirc can be pity to take oftt and put back. Hoses that goes from the elbow to the charge pipes.
In addition to removing the rear bolt, you need to release the harness that runs over the front of the SC. Release the right side of the harness from the cam cover studs, then pull the plugs on both sides of the engine at the front of the intercoolers; the big ones are the fuel injectors and will release inwards, the little ones are the knock sensors and will release outwards. That should get enough room to get the SC out, but I also release the whole harness from all of the attach points at the front of the cam covers. Then you can move the harness forward past the SC snout and it will easily come out instead of having to maneuver under the harness and around the big water hose.
