Default Switch-off CATS (XJR x308)

Very strongly I ask for help of club!!! we have Jaguar XJR x308 with the adaptive CATS system. Help step by step how to switch-off CATS shock-absorbers, I want to put simple shock-absorbers.

Forgive for my English

See page 16 . It is not clear which part number is CATS , stiff non- CATS , or soft non-CATS

The XJR has a stiffer shock then the XJ8

There are comfortable CATS shock-absorbers but they already dead knock unreal as in the cart. to buy new CATS still financially expensively and I found simple KYB. But how to me to disconnect completely the CATS system? where to be the principal unit of the adaptive pendant and what jumpers to me to switch-off?

still I was told that it is possible to deliver a blende in the form of the resistor. You remove a counter from the shock-absorber and you insert into the connector the resistor (one end in one hole another in another). Also it is necessary to know a nominal like 50 Ohms and power more than 5 W

But interests me where to be the adaptive module and what wires I should disconnect!

Seen bad reviews on the KYB's

http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto.../jagxj1998.pdf

See page 66 , figure 11 - 6

Just read the resistance of the shocks solenoid and match

That doesn't mean something else other the system seeing the solenoids having continuity would give you a CATS warning light later if not now

We do not have such a great selection, this is KYB the best of the worst, I would put the "bilstein" but they are in nearly new shock CATS. For e-book Thank you so much !!!, I will read, study

I accidentally a second theme (in Russian) if there is a possibility the administration will delete it please

Put a reply on that thread and the administrator may see it and act

The original bilsteins can be rebuilt and valves replaced as it is the heart of the shocks performance by yourself if you want to go in that direction

1. You can disconnect the CATS module, located in the passenger foot well.
2. There are huge differences in prices for the exact same Bilstein shocks, keep searching. I bought mine (but comfort!) for under 100USD a piece.

Not sure if the correct part # for yours , never could discern the difference between B4 / B6 and 7100 series , A motorcycle shop can do the final gas charge as they would have the shrader valve fitting . The most important thing is to relieve the gas inside before you disassemble the unit otherwise it can kill you . The 180 PSI precharge is with no load on the assembly and is higher if installed on a vehicle . See page 351 Jaguar XJ ( NAW , NBW ) and page 885 old / new part numbers on PDF below :

Rockauto.com
They just increased prices with some 5 dollar / each, but still under a hundred.
Original Bilstein OEM, including all bushings for the rears.
