Default Weekend work on my 99 xj8

Finally changed the secondary chain tensioners this weekend. Both were completely split from bottom to top. Did not take long, has improved the cars running. All the links help make this easy. Also installed a new O2 sensor, fixed the ABS controller, have my front drilled and sloted rotors with ceramic pads, changed the trans filter and oil. That exhaust pipe gets hot quick. Stereo completed : Alpine component front speakers, Polk Audio component rears, Polk Audio 660 amp for all 4 speakers with a 1.5 fauar capacitor - sounds great. Next up is rear drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads, removing center muffler (two straight pipes), replacing dash lights with LEDS. I drive it 400+ miles a week for work so i am getting all the mechanical items completed first.
Does anyone have a reference guide for my models (99 xj8 base) dash bulb listings? I think i like this car better than the audi's i have had! Attahed are pictures of my other boys - Rover and Mick.

Got you beat, I drive 820 miles a week, not including the weekend driving.

But, that alot a work for a weekend, guessing you don't have a wife or kids. If you do, she/they must gave you a weekend pass. LOL!

Don't do straight pipes, you SHOULD put in a x-pipe within the exhaust system. There are many post on here describing how and where.

I have a Disco too! Have you had to do the valley gasket or head job yet on it?

LOL! Disco, 70 and 80 music, my favorite.

NOPE! and I pray I never have too!.

I had to do the valley pan on my belated BMW 740iL, that was a job and a half.

With the X308 it will be harder, since this have extra hardward on top (SC).

Default weekend

my wife loves it when i work on the toys on saturday - she goes shopping all day. My boys help me, oldest son (19) has been getting his 96 Trans AM WS6 completed, LT-1, supercharger, exhaust, etc - stage 2 kit with 500+hp - it will fly. This weekend i am putting rear rotors and pads like the fronts on. Thanks for the tip on exhaust - my exhaust shop is looking for a crossover section (magnaflow). Plan is to take out center section and replace with crossover, keep all the clamps and then remove the next section of premuffler. Keeping cats and final muffler. See how that sounds.
This summer i completed all the maintenance on my Land Rover prior to vacation trip to the Gulf. upgraded everything but have not had the over heating issue yet. Upgraded the rotors and pads to drilled/slotted/ ceramic - huge difference stopping with pulling a 14' trailer.
