89 xj6 fuel tank cont...
Ok......Tank in without hoses connected and C clips in place.
I'm gonna hook up the fuel lines in the morning.
One problem.....
The two wires for the sending unit and one larger hard hose running from the hole in the trunk under the tank?
Where do they go?????

If you can, a couple of pics might be useful. For the wiring, you should have a connection waiting on the loom at the back somewhere. As I recall, thhe loom is fixed to the trunk sidewall; there are metal fold-over clips for it.

OK, good pics and some rather straggly wiring mods on view. However, I am not sure I am looking at a Series 3 XJ there. The panels don't ring any bells in my memory, and I replaced the trunk floor and rear valance on mine in 1990, so am reasonably familiar with this area. Your last pic indicates an XJ40 model, I am sure.
Not good or bad, it's just a totally different car, different engine, gearbox, suspension, bodyshell etc. So may I suggest this post is moved to the XJ40 forum where experts on that model series no doubt lurk around waiting for owner puzzles to come up.
So did my 1972 Series I, Series II and several others after that!
That's why the factory design names are so useful - XJ40, X300, X308 etc. It removes any doubt about the body style. Major mechanical differences under the skin.
