Default Center console bin liner

Do you ever see an XJ6/XJ12 Series 2 console bin liner that isn’t on its last legs? Got one?
Mine is frayed around the edges and broken at the attachment points. It’s a remarkably flimsy POS for what an XJ cost new and they don’t age well.
I thought I’d at least ask on the off chance you had one in an obscure dim corner of a garage or languishing in a parts car.
Thanks, Richard

what part are you calling the "liner"?

do you mean the plastic Tray inside the center console?

Is it different than the one in the Series 3 ?

I remember a member here told me he could vacuum-form new ones with a good sample but that was years ago and he dissapeared from the forum.

Post a picture of yours to see how bad it is and compare it to the two I have from Series 3.

Another idea!

use the old one as a pattern. Appy a partig agent to the underside. la on matt and fiberglass. Mold your own.

Patch the old ome with some of the miracle materials now avaible. .

This is an easy fix, buy some felt and set it. What’s the problem?

looks the same as Series 3.

they crack at the edges where it is screwed to the console. I have several with the same issue. I fixed mine by gluing a reinforcing layer of thin plastic on top where the screw holes are to hide the cracked or missing areas.

That’s someone else’s bin. Mine has shredded edges and split.
