Does anyone know what colour these pepperpot wheels should be when refurbished? Mine have been painted at some stage with a light grey so it’s impossible to know what ‘original’ is in this case.
The company putting the wheels into an acid bath for me intend then to refurb them to ‘Silver Sparkle’ which they are convinced is a Jaguar wheel colour.
My memory of them back in the day is that they weren’t silver..
Can't say that I've ever seen a color code published. Similar conversations have come up regarding Kent wheels.
All the Pepperpots I've seen could easily be called silver but none were what I would call "sparkle" silver, at least not obviously. If there's a metallic effect to the original correct finish it surely isn't glitzy, if you know what I mean.
If all else fails the go-to Argent Silver might look good. It's an almost generic choice for wheels.

I looked into this once and read that this was a very close match to original pepperpot color:
Thank you everybody. The Autoglym colour does indeed seem to be a perfect match. In the end, though, I decided not to worry about originality too much because Silver Sparkle looks pretty good! I have period photos of a 1982 Series III with presumably correct pepperpots but think I prefer mine now!
