Default Gave my cat a bath today

Even though the paint on the hood, roof, and trunklid are kinda shitty, I gave it a bath today. I vacuumed/blew out all the crud from the engine bay and cleaned out all the nooks and crannies with a small screwdriver and high pressure water. Would have invested some REAL elbow grease into it if the paint wasn't faded and I actually cared more about the car, but it cleaned up decent for an 82 or 83, can't remember off hand, car that wasn't properly cared for by previous owners as far as buffing and waxing is concerned.

Anyways, take a quick peek and then you'll feel better about your Jag, whether it runs or not lol

Not bad, especially based on your description of previous owners. Is the paint color supposed to be grey or silver?

Keep up the good work!

Eric

It's actually cobalt blue metallic, or at least it was in a previous life.

That's a nice series 3. Factory alloys really suit it. Paint is a lot better than my series 1. What are your plans for the old girl? No rego plates?

It's got a rather clean 305 v8 swap in it and runs. I started taking the gas tanks out a while back to clean them and reinstall and never got any further than removing the passenger side tank...it's been sitting that way forever lol

Been trying to trade/sell it for something useful forever but no one has any $$ so now and then I get the bug and clean it up, or treat the leather inside which is in phenomenal shape, or I tinker with it and hook up a gas can and fire it up to keep the fluids circulated in the engine.

That's a handsome car. I have a black '86 with original engine and some paint issues.
Seems like your car is worth a decent paint and enough work to get it going. They are good-looking cars. I never was a real fan of Jaguars but now one has followed me home, so what you gonna do?

you know, I bet with a little rubbing compound ,maybe some Maguire's, that car would shine and shimmer again, even the faded areas.
