Default Component in truck

does anyone know what this is for. It’s on the left side of the trunk by the fuel filler

That would be the O2 sensor clock. Every 30,000 miles that device triggers the O2 sensor light on the dash. You push the white button to reset the counter and turn off the light. Jag basically wants you replacing the O2 sensors every 30,000 miles.
