Could a (UK) MOT damage the Diff of the IRS?
I'm shortly due to take my XJS V12 for a UK MOT where they do the brake test using the rolling road.
Not a problem for most cars I think? but the IRS on the XJS has a limited slip differential and I am just a bit concerned that the diff might get damaged as they brake each wheel independently when testing the brakes.
I always mention that the car has an LSD but they still use the rolling road.
Has anyone encountered any problems, when they do the test this way?
Or am I just being 'Paranoid' as usual?

Thanks Greg that is a relief!
One of 'The Old School' Testers used to put a braking device thingy on the dashboard and then take it for a Test Drive.
But they don't do that anymore.

Agreed. There's nothing a rolling road can do to the diff that even comes close to the stress of regular driving.
@texasscot - that's a favourite of scamming MOT centres. Just ask them which one and to show you, most of the time its utter BS but I have a feeling your already well ahead of the game on this one

But then they had to change their minds when I pointed out that I had replaced them with copper about 5 years ago and what they could see was nothing more than natural discoloration.
Also the nearside headlight and rear light didn't work!
At which time I had to explain that on a Merc, you can switch these off, to help conserve your battery when you park by the side of the road and just in case you hadn't guessed.
They had turned the switch to the wrong position!
So if they think I'm taking my Jag there, then they have another thing coming!
