I hava a 1989 Xjs V12, I need to replace my warning light bulbs. I would like to use 5 watt standard bubs and not LED due ti heat factor, Does anyone know where U can order these. Also, are the bulbs in the speedo and tach the same size bulbs, Thanks
All the same sise. T5s for sure. The hopeless OEM ones are T3.
Note that inside the white part of the cluster, into which the bulbs poke from their holders, there is a green filter. This discolours and if it has, needs to be removed. To get at it you need to unscrew the white part of the plastic from the black part. It is a good plan to do this anyway, in my view.
There are some pics and writeup on here from me that I will try to find!
Cannot find my thread/posts, but here are some photos Cluster white part off the black front part reveals the green filters Green fiters off the cluster, these were, in fact, not darkened. Some of the green filter locations, you can jusr see the small rivet holes that hold them on each side of the bulb hole

What "heat factor" are you referring to? If anything, the LEDs should be significantly cooler than the incandescent bulbs. I replaced my cluster bulbs w/ LED's probably over 2 years ago and they've been fine (just keep the alternator/battery bulb incandescent or else you can get charging system problems or the LED will just always be on w/ a slight glow)
