Question Do XJSes have one-touch operation for power windows?

Sorry for such a minor question, but I can't find anything in the driver's manual or anything online to suggest that a 1992 model would have one-touch power windows for the driver. Every single power window-equipped car I've been in has a one-touch switch for the driver, no matter how small and cheap. Could an expensive luxury Jaguar really not have such a basic function, or is mine busted somewhere?
The window's so short and goes up pretty fast anyway, perhaps they decided not to bother....

Some Day, Some Day,

No, the XJS doesn't have one-touch windows. I'm not sure many cars had that back in the early 90s. And remember the car was launched in 1975 so the switch and window motor design was pretty much the same up until the end in 1996.

One touch modules are readily available these days and reasonably easy to retro fit yourself if you are handy

Paul - thanks for the quick response. Nice to know there's one less issue to worry about.... Although all the Japanese cars from the early 1990s seemed to have them, the design being from the 1970s probably explains it.
Warren - I'm not terribly handy with electrical stuff, and the window goes up fast anyway, but thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

What some enterprising individual needs to do is this:

Retrofit the switchgear from a 90s Lexus to the XJS.

Man, our wiper and indicator stalks feel like brittle chopsticks: horrible and cheap.

You don't need the switchgear for that. Volvo used to just monitor the amps/watts/volts drained when the Windows got to it's lowest/highest point and cut the power. A simple relay addition. So that would be a way to retrofit keeping rather stock appearance.

Anyone fitted one of these kits to an xjs, I wonder if the window
Motor needs to be live switched instead of earth switched.

I don't think it would make any difference. All you need are some modules from 90's Fords. See the instructions here: Auto Up\Down Modules - Finally complete and Awesome!!
