ECM location?

ECM location?
I have a 1993 XJS 4.0 convertible. I have two manuals and my car does not always seem to follow either one. One manual says my ECM should be in the right rear panel. I looked inside the car and found the hydraulic pump for my roof, then I took the metal plate in my truck off and found my gas tank and my fuel pump. I still need to know where the ECM is located.

I'm not sure where you're looking in the workshop manual. I've just looked and Section 18.30.01 of Vol 2 of the manual that you have shows the location of the ecm in the footwell?

The electrical guide always lists the location of modules.
Electrical Guide S72_93.pdf in the correct guide.
Figure 25 lists Right Dash Under Panel
