I'm rolling again after having the tranny rebuilt. It's going to have to go back, since it doesn't shift out of first until 3000 RPM. Great for performance, but not for city street driving.
Issues I'm confronting:
1. I have to fiddle with the steering wheel for several minutes before I find the sweet spot that lets me turn the ignition key. I would just as soon disconnect this feature as I'm not really worried about someone stealing it.
2. Both front seat cushion supports (the black rubber like support the seat cushion floats on) have failed. I can see that working of the seats will be much easier if they are out of the car. So...does anyone know the size of the torex socket I'm going to need to gets these bolts out?

Don't know for certain but I recall the ones in my 94 were T40.

 

Why not buy a Torx set, they are pretty cheap.

 

They may not be the highest quality, but sites such as Temu are making access to tools and accessories so much more accessible:

I decided to stop being cheap and just bought a set. So I'll be pulling the passenger seat this weekend and will somehow reconstruct the bottom support.

Next will be dealing with the steering wheel/ignition issue. Somehow I can't think that it's all that complex of a mechanism, but as nobody has responded I'll dive in and see.

i am fairly certain you can buy that part

 

If you know the build date of the car, as opposed to model year, you can figure out which of these you need. There is apparently a 1987 changeover.

They are pretty easy to fit once the seat is out of the car and on a table.

 

Once I get the seat out I'll be able to tell as they look distinctly different.
