Default Flasher relay 1995 4.0 Cab

Hi, we have no indicators or hazards and I believe the relay flasher is missing as shown in photo below, situ LHS drivers side the yellow relay holder

Can anybody confirm the part number for the relay, i believe it is a 4 pin, thanks and any pictures welcome to confirm correct location

Jag06530,

It does seem as if the flasher unit is missing.

I'm assuming you don't have the workshop manual etc? See here for the the electrical wiring diagrams for your car and you'll see the relay layout:

94 XJS 4.0L Electrical.pdf

Also see here for Jaguar's parts website and the part number for the flasher unit:

Genuine Relay And Fusebox-driver's Side For Jaguar Xjs Sports Coupe/convertible 1975 - 1996 Classic | Jaguar Land Rover Classic Parts

Good luck

Paul

PS You have a 4.0 Convertible, not a Cabriolet. A Cabriolet is quite a different model.

If you just google Jaguar DAC6081, you'll see that the QHXFL115 seems to be identified as the equivalent

Cheers

Fwiw, when I put LEDs for the turn signals in my '94, I used this:
Vensans Flasher Relay, CF14 JL-02 3-Pin LED Flasher Flash Relay for Turn Signal Light Hyper Flash Fix 12V_PQ https://a.co/d/c3NDOsR

It is a 3 pin and I believe should work for regular bulbs.

I had a problem with driver's seat (wouldn't move forward / backwards, seat back also stuck in a rather uncomfortable position) when I bought mine - turned out the module under the seat was damaged (water ingress) and had to be replaced; used unit from eBay.

We come back to the flasher relay that we still need to source. We have 4 wires into the relay block as per first photo. It needs a 4 pin relay as we have tried the 3 pin and still no indicators or hazards (fuses blow)

Can anybody confirm the flasher relay used in a 95 Convertible ?

4 pin is a DAC 1731
