Greg,

Wouldn’t a failure in the ECU fuel pump activation circuit drop fuel pressure to 0 rapidly and shut the engine down?

Could well be; but this fault the OP has established is fuel; so I feel pinpointing it should now be pretty straightforward. It just occurred to me that it is a possibility that the pump electrical feed could be part of it. BUT, my money is on a blocking new main filter (had that on my Range Rover once and it took ages to find - I was young then!) or a collapsing feed tube to the pump.

Well done. If it happens again, rather than just cleaning them fit new ones.

Hose 19 is the important none, it is NOT a high pressure hose, so any good quality 1/2 inch (13mm) internal diameter fuel hose will do it.
Hose 13 (actually 11) is a breather hose, so if it is clear, probably not to worry. They are available though, part number CBC6346
Jaguar Partno_CBC6346_BREATHER HO_David Manners Group with Alts
and some on UK ebay too.
