Default New Fuel Pump - Now No Start..

Ah yes, another of the 15,000 no start threads restarted..

Quick one this time, original pump was leaking badly, car never had starting issues prior to replacing pump. I bought the blue one that XK's sells, and replaced the filter at the same time.

All button up, no start. I cycled the key about five times prior to engaging the starter, but still no go. There doesn't appear to be pressure after the filter.

Question being, could I just have an air-lock and need the thing to sit a while, or do I need to open the sump and see if it ingested some junk?

I triple checked that I pulled all the packing covers off the pump and the filter, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Would jumping the pump help to let it clear it through rather waiting on the ECU to call for the pump at start / prime the system better?

Thanks.

Jeff

I may be spacing out, but do you have to push the fuel pump reset button under the passenger side dash?

I have changed my fuel pump, filter, and removed my gas tank among other things. Never had to prime anything, never had to reset the fuel cutoff switch, nada.

question #1, is there power at the fuel pump and is it properly wired?

question#2 are you SURE the hoses are correctly routed?

Happened as I did my pump too

The car is wired uncommonly... Or better typical for British cars
