V-12 engine? My 91 was listed as 16mm in catalogs, which seemed about right by sight but I didn't measure it. Are you looking for a replacement plug?

No, just finding the correct wrench for it. I have a 19MM and it is too small.

Sorry Tony, I thought you were asking about the size of the threaded plug itself, not the hex.

My drain plug, I believe, is 16mm diameter for the threaded part, so the washer slightly larger id than that. I found quite a lot of info and choices on the internet regarding that washer.

Finally got it.

The hex size for my 90 XJS is 22MM. I want you all to know, however that plug was really put in there. It took a lot of effort and a few bangs of a hammer to break it free.

Thanks for your help!!!
