Parts ???
In my very brief experience, found that prices very from place to place and not consistently cheaper any one place. I suspect I'll find a round of about 3-5 vendors I'll check for each part to see who has the best on offer.
So far just ordered one but priced a few parts. Going through Amazon I fond some parts at a good price (only place I found the anti-slosh manual) - it was 'fulfilled by Autopartsway'. Done a lot of looking at Jaguar Parts, New and Used Jaguar auto parts, XJ6, XJS, XJ8, XJ40, XK8, S-TYPE and X-TYPE Jaguar car parts. There is a big list of vendors in the kirby 'XJS experience' e-book. It's available for free on linked on the sticky at the top.
I try to buy all my parts from one person. Although at first he wasn't he cheapest and the cheapest isn't always the best bet. After a few months of doing bussiness with the same fellow I now do get the best deal and speedy service. Why should they Jump through hoops the first time you call for a price? Buy local and stay true to your connection it does pay off. If your loyal 9 times out of 10 you'll get it back
I'll tell you why they should jump through hoops for each and every customer; it's called THE INTERNET. We can compare shop reputations, prices, service, etc. with a few clicks. It makes geographical location fairly irrelevant; UPS can deliver our parts anywhere within a day.
In case you haven't noticed, the market for Large body, small occupant, fuel swilling coupes is ****ing SMALL. It's not trendy to drive a V12 sports car that gets 13MPG. The guys at the Ferrari, Mercedes & Porsche 928 fora will tell you the same thing.

You can click-n-buy lots of Jag stuff online, and that's fine.....
But there still something to be said for developing a good over-the-phone relationship with a Jag specialist. Often these guys have advice and insight that you won't get elsewhere and a bit of loyalty as a repeat customer is generally repaid in more than equal measure....usually most evident when you're in a pinch.
Just my two cents.
Cheers
