Default Plug ID help please . . .

1996 XJS Conv.
The white plug in the center is for the antenna.
What is the Black plug (circled in red) for?
What is the Plug on the left with the jumper for?

Also, if someone has a picture of the antenna mounting bracket that would help.

Thanks - pete

Pretty sure that black plug is for the antennae delay relay.

On my 94 2+2 I have a plug resembling the white one that goes to the diagnostics plug. Why there is a jumper is a mystery.

That plug might be for the tow hitch option.

Pete,

Some possible answers - Part 1

I went down to the car last night and removed the rear trim to get some pics.

At first. I couldn't see any of the plugs to which you referred, so I started taking things apart. Eventually I found the plug which had a jumper. I'm not sure what it is but mine does have a label which seems to say DAC 10608. I've googled that but can't seem to find an answer as yet.

I couldn't see the black plug, so eventually I decided to remove the fuse box to see if it was behind there.

With a lot of fiddling, I then found what I think is the black plug. On mine, it's taped up with red tape, as you can just see at the top of one of the pics. There seem to be wires coming out of the top of the taped bit, but I will have to remove the top bracing strut on the upper inner wing edge to be able to access where it seems to go. I'll try and do this next week.

I've just realised you asked about the aerial mounting bracket. I'm due to go back to the car today, so will see if I can photo that.

Hope that helps a bit.

Cheers

Paul

Thanks for taking the time to do this.
You did solve one thing. I was thinking that the band around the antenna was another mounting place. from your pictures, I can see it's a ground for the shield in the antenna cable.
Thanks again.

Pete,

Does this help you at all on the aerial bracket?

If not, tell me which views you need.

Cheers

Paul

How is it fastened to the floor?
