I just replaced my half shaft u-joints and rebuilt the rear hubs on my '89 XJS coupe. I researched and watched all the horrifying videos prior to disassembly knowing the splines were Loctited. I found a puller that works like the Churchill. Credit goes to JeffR1 from a post in 2013. He used the OTC 6574 puller with the plate. The hole has to be opened to 2.910" to fit the hub. A modified hydraulic coupler was used as the shaft protector/center and a good rust penetrant a must. It came apart fairly easy but required a 2' breaker bar all the way out. You can tell the Kroil creeped through the splines. The ultimate penetrating oil, 10 years old and a 1/2 can left.
