Are these Headlight Wiper/Washers Parked in the right place.
What you see in the Photo, is exactly how I found them, as while I'm still doing the ABS, I haven't had the chance to power them up.
But both headlight Wipers are Parked underneath what appears to be a couple of 'Rubber Bump Stops'
It's exactly the same on both sides of the Car and neither one of the Wipers or the Wiper arms they are on, seems to want to be Parked on Top of these 'Bump Stops'
So basically that is my Question:
Should the Headlight Wiper Arms and Blades, Park themselves 'On Top of' or 'Underneath' these Rubber Bump Stops?
(What looks like Rust is in fact Grease to prevent Rust while being laid up)

I had a similar issue with the windshield wipers on my '90. I had to remove the arms and rotate them to the correct splines so the wipers would park in the correct position. Now my wipers look nice and sweep in the proper arc.

Most likely a previous owner pulled them off and was not careful to put them back in the correct position.

That's what I started thinking!
but I really wanted to get a second opinion.

Pull back he spindle covers. One of them has a small nut; undo it. Then, and careful here, get a pair of pliers and place one jaw under the arm where it goes round the spindle and the other ON the spindle. A firm grip and the arm pops off with no damage to the spindle and motor bearing.

Thanks for the quick response Greg.
that was pretty easy. Go them from this
To this
In just a few minutes.
Before adjusting them they weren't actually working and they continue to not work so that will be the next job. At least they look ok now.
interestingly neither wiper motor or headlamp washer works so I'm thinking something electrical in the switch mechanism rather than the individual component.
happy for any advice on that too.

Yeah, that's how I tried them, with the headlights on. Not working.
not much rain here in my part of Australia at the moment and I tend not to drive in the rain and even if I did wipers seem to be more for sleet and snow which we get zero of so no practical reason to get them working other than addressing my compulsion to fix things that don't work.
at least they look better now.
