Default 13MY Convertible Top and Headliner Replacement Procedure

Prior to replacing my convertable top and headliner I did alot of research and planning to do it my self.
I have updated my plan with more infomation based on my experience and would like to share it with others that ar considering DIY.
This isn't rocket science but does take some time I would allow at least 2 -4 days and you would also need a helper.
Lots of blankets to throw over the interior and exterior.
The PDF file is attached..

Thx a lot - this is extremely helpful. Plan to do the replacement myself together with a friend.

As it goes the clamps for the cables at the front didn't have enough padding as compared to the original top ones and obsereved that they were starting to show a mark in the outer top.
Essentially an easy repair (just had to remove the overhead trim piece and the weather stripping in that first segment of the top and nade the modifications:
1) bent the tips downward so they were flush and smoothed the edges.
2) added an extra piece of Gorella black fabric tape over them. Similar to what was on the origanal factory top had.

With that side I revised the procedure to include those details.

I'm still not quiiet satisfied with the headliners gap at the sides, I manage to get it to about 1" but the original was much closer.
If anyone has replaced the headliner I would like feedback on what if any gap exist, thanks.

While I didn't photo the marks you can sort of see the marks @ the arrows and the general area and the location of the clips on the other picture. It is approximately 5" back from the fron edge of the top and close to the side edge of the top. you can see the adhesive left from the cover Hope this helps.
Stuart, could you give me an idea of how much of a gap if any between your headliner edge and quarter casings along the sides. Thanks

This would be directly on top the area that the roof cables attach.

Dana,
I hope these photos will help. There aren't any gaps along the edges of my headliner. Let me know if you need any more photos.
