Default ACM reset location on a 2010

Having issues with the iPod playing music and Dension recommends resetting the ACM and has this diagram on how to do it:

BUT, on the 2010, there is this:

Where is the module with the reset button located???

thanks in advance!

Never heard of a reset in 2010+ cars, but I will use inference to draft the answer. The ACM was only available on 2009 and earlier models, so if it is not available in our car the procedures created for that module would not apply.

In other words, your car does not have an ACM module to reset.

Makes sense since I can't find any specific info on it. In the X150 - XK workshop manual they have a nice troubleshooting guide but it refers to this same module and no mention of any other troubleshooting. Dang it

I have a dealer appt next Tues to look at this but I'd love to figure this out on my own.

thanks mark.

Yeah, I have a PDF shop guide, but it only references 4.2 liter cars so I know that is is pre-2010 document. If you look at yours and it makes no reference to the 5.0 then you are also stuck in the past release.

Good luck, I haven't heard of anyone having your particular issue with the no sound playing through the Ipod port. The most common issue is the pause after one second of play. I read hundreds of posts regarding that problem don't recall any mention of your issue.

What will suck is if you go to the dealer and they end up needing to do something silly or minor and charge you a shop fee. At least it will work! Hopefully.

yea I have the pdf manual for 5.0L - 5.0L S/C VIN B32753 to VIN B44939 where my VIN is right in the middle of that range. Is it accurate? who knows, I bought it on eBay. Pretty cool to have either way as I like to know how stuff works.

Yea the iPod thing is driving me nuts as you can probably tell . I figure it might be a simple connection issue somewhere, who knows.... I hope the dealer can fix it, or tell me how stupid I am if that's the case. Either way, worth the diag fee at this point! At least I'll get a "free" car wash.

Ah, then you are good, that would be the right one. At some point I will have to get one off ebay also, just haven't needed to yet since I am under CPO.

Update for those interested, or someone doing a search....

Dealer said my ACM is bad. The ACM on the 2010 is located in the hatch area on a coupe. Manual calls it Auxiliary Universal Serial Bus or Auxiliary USB Unit (AUU). Dealer wanted $1k to replace it so I'm going to search elsewhere or not fix it at all....

Wow I have the older model and did not even know there was a reset button.
I stopped using it because I thought it did not work anymore. Going try the reset tonight.

Update on this issue: SOLVED!

I found the control module on a donor car, courtesy of forum member robbing, for $100. Installed it in 10 minutes, plugged in my daughter's old ipod nano and MUSIC PLAYED!

Bought the CarPro Bluetooth adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017R...VtL&ref=plSrch
Paired it up to my wife's iPhone 6 and MUSIC PLAYED!

Works with my Android phone also except you can't see the song list on the Android, only iPhone. You can still control it via the steering wheel tho.

I am glad I got this resolved.
