Default Adjusting the Seat for exit mode

Is there a way to set the exit mode for the seat and steering column at the same time? I know you can set this up for the steering wheel column exit knob on auto. I need for the steering wheel to go up and the seat to move all the way to the back and down to the floor. I am six one and need the leg room to exit. Can this be set up when the car's engine is turned off then this activates when you exit the car?

Thanks

I don't know if there is an auto mode for the seats but you could make one of your memory options fully reclined. You can use these when the engine is turned off.

I use one seat memory for my driving position, one for my wife’s, and number three for “egress mode”

I believe that the setting you are referring to only adjusts the steering wheel when the setting on the side of the column is adjusted to automatic. However, I'm kind of hesitant to use it in the auto setting for fear of wearing out the motor on an older car. It already makes some creaking noises when the steering wheel adjusts. I'm a small guy (5' 5") and I do need the steering wheel to adjust when getting in and out.

Maybe it’s just mine, but my seat is so slow, I’d die of old age waiting for it to move back before exiting. And it’s absurd, or maybe just mine, that I have to hold the memory button down the entire time it is adjusting to the memory position.

A low battery can cause all sorts of electrical glitches. Whenever there's an electrical glitch, the first thing to check is battery health. You can drive to your local national chain auto parts store where they will load test your battery for free. Or, after sitting overnight, use a voltmeter to check voltage - it should be at least 12.6 volts before trying to start it. If less than 12.6v, use a battery charger (10 amps or more) and not a battery maintainer (4 amps) to recharge it. If it doesn't hold a charge, it's time for a new battery.

Seat modules have a reputation for failing, especially with a weak battery . If the above didn't help, you might need to reprogram that seat module or get a new one.

See: Driver seat not adjusting.

Good luck!

Stuart

AGREE..

I feel using a function is better than letting it sit dormant
