After 2 months, I'm getting 17.6 MPG...

Default After 2 months, I'm getting 17.6 MPG...

Average MPG in my 07 XKR...at least that is what the computer says. Mainly city driving - I have been on the nearby interstates a few times.

What is everybody else getting? Is there any way to get this up? I keep the tires inflated and I run 5W30 synthetic oil.

Seems low. I'm getting around 23 city and 25+ on the highway.

Wow - 23 MPG is great even for an XK - My wife's 05 VDP doesn't get 23 city - maybe 22 city. Highway is much better - may 25 or 26.

I'm assuming the NA XK gets better MPG than the XKR...

In the city, whenever possible, I use the cruise control. Having said that, I find it pretty easy to destroy that mileage with a little pedal pressure

Real world (hand calculated but the cars computer is only off by .5 MPG - optimistic) I'm getting 18.x city and have gotten 27.x during an extended highway trip.

Not bad for a 3700 pound car with a V8.

Default Excellent highway mileage.

In just a little over 2000 miles since I have the car my average MPG is sitting on 27.2. Most of my driving is freeway. On my regular trip the first 18 miles is tightly winding and hilly, then about 100 miles freeway, followed by 5 days of city driving of about 1.5 miles each way between the hotel and work. Then back home.

On the freeway I usually set the cruise to 71-72, given the heavy police presence.

That explains my 25+ highway. I typically drive at 79-80 here in FL.

I'm getting 18.x in my 09 XKR. Average speed is around 30 MPH according to the computer...Basically some stop and go freeway traffic + surface streets + some faster freeway on the way home. I found that I was getting 25.x when my average speed was around 55 on a 60 mile trip I did on the way home from the dealer. Driving around suburbia seems to get me 17.x.

My 09 Mini Cooper auto gave me 29 vs. 18.x on the same drive. So I'm getting 2/3 of the MPG with 3.5x the HP. is it worh it??? Hell yeah!!!

23-24 was typical an a recent 2000 mile road trip. Mostly interstate, mostly 75-80 mph on the cruise. I was pretty satisfied with that. '08 XKR.
