Regarding your airbag warning light, don't guess. Always search this Forum first, before doing anything else. The X150 is almost 20 years old, and almost every question you can think of has already been asked and answered. Here's the answer to your question:
Hi Stuart,
Thanks I have updated my signature. I should have mentioned I had scanned the forum and looked at the possible solutions hence I had gone through checking the connections under the seat and clearing the fault using an icarsoft device but still no joy as it just comes back as soon as the car gets to about 10 mph
Are you certain that your iCarsoft device is able to clear and reset that warning light? I highlighted in yellow Graham's important points. The link is above, in Post #2.
Please let us know the model number of your iCarsoft device.
It is the icarsoft v2 Land Rover /jaguar version I have only just got it so still trying to get familiar with its capabilities but it was giving me a 7 digit code B0002-1B which was intermittent

So just wanted confirm that I replaced the Clock spring and it has resolved the airbag light on issue. The removal of the airbag was the hardest part of the process I used a screwdriver and an adjustable spanner on it to give leverage to turn the screwdriver and pull the airbag out.
Thank you everybody for your input
