Default Broken bits - XKR dashboard

I have a 2008 jaguar XKR portfolio VIN SAJAC44R689B26015

I had the dashboard replaced with a new one last week by a garage in Melbourne and they unfortunately broke 3 parts at the front (as in the attached pictures).

Fortunately I can get those parts from the UK. I just need to know whether those 3 bits are replaceable without having to remove the dashboard again.

Could anyone provide me with some advice Sadly, technical expertise is severely lacking in Australia. Thanks very much.

Roger

Welcome to the forums RChatoor,

I've copied this question from your Intro thread to X150 forum for advice from members with the same model.

RC,
Take a look at this thread:
Defrost vent on upper dash - Page 3 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

When you get to post #81, they start talking about removing the defroster grills. The rest of the thread is interesting reading.

Yes they are replaceable without removing the dash. Can you share where you can get the defrost vents?

The dash does not need to be removed to replace those pieces. Both the defrost plastic vents and the center speaker grill are drop-ins. When my dash was repaired, we broke some of the defrost vent pieces as well, we reglued with black silicon and dropped back in, virtually unnoticeable. As I recall on the speaker grill, I believe there are a couple of metal clips that are held in place by friction as they are push in type.

dear Sean, I got them from the dealership in the uk where I bought my XKR 14 years ago as a brand new girl. You can pay using your credit card over the phone and then arrange a courier to get it to you (that’s what I did). Please let me know if you need the contact details for the dealership. David is the parts manager. Really helpful guy
