Default Burning and adding oil

Went to check my oil today and this popped up. No warnings at all

added 1.5L according to the manual drove 50 miles but the reading stayed the same

have a hard time believing I’m burning this much oil as I drove a couple thousand miles before without any oil usage

any ideas before I keep adding more oil?

It says supercharged on the speedometer.

I'd recommend reading the OBD codes.

Valve covers frequently leak but you'd have drips underneath. When's the last time you changed the oil, how much did you remove and how much did you put in? Do you know how to check the oil level so you can verify the actual level?

well not the best update but could have been worse

decided to change the oil

3.5L came out, which means it was down to 2.0L at one point...NO WARNING LIGHT WTF

I put in ~7.0L in January with about 3.5K miles in total. means its burning 1L/700 miles. 5w-20 liquimoly oil

Maybe 1000 miles of that were "spirited drives"

Might need to check oil level every time now

Bumping up to a 5w-40 weight oil

Yes, start frequently monitoring oil level. If you’re burning oil you’ll likely see it in the exhaust. It’s rare for these engine to burn oil though. Are you certain the engine’s completely clean and dry?

yes, it has a dedicated indoor parking spot and it’s bone dry

also looked while draining the oil and it was generally dry (very very minor sweating on oil sensor)

didnt check oil level that often because of the fact they aren’t known to burn oil…the irony

My V6 (AJ126) takes the same 7.25 litres of oil to fill as your AJ133 V8 SC and it has lost so little between oil changes in the last 10 years that it doesn't even register, the electronic oil level read-out always reads "max" (I check it around once per fortnight) and I always get 7.25 litres out at oil change time.
So your stated one litre every 700 miles is massively excessive, something is very wrong to either leak or burn oil at that rate.
You say it doesn't appear to be leaking and you say you looked around the oil level sensor so it seems you took the under-tray off to drain the oil via the sump plug.
Which if true means it must be burning oil at a horrendous rate in which case you should be seeing clouds of blue smoke especially at cold start up.
Something ain't right!

yes this is an unbelievable amount of oil burn and close to the worst I’ve seen (my 997.1 911 was similar but had bore scoring) hence my original suspicion that the sensor was broken

something is off so will need to track closely for the next few k miles

going to monitor the situation and

Try to check when cold and on level ground. Keep a log.
