Hello all,
On my 07 XKR 150 I found this tubing disconnected from the charged side of the supercharger with what appears to be a sensor of some sort just laying in front, between the charge coolers. I reattached to the supercharger. The split end goes to what I suspect is either the secondary IAT or maybe the fuel rail pressure sensor (only based on look of fuel rail pressure sensor in exploded view of shop manual pg 2047). Since reattaching I'm getting codes P0111 IAT along with misfires on all of Bank 2, and VVT error on Bank 2. Fuel trim is extremely rich at -25 most the time. Prior to reattaching I was getting 'to lean' codes on both banks. Only thing I've ever done underwood is fluid stuff and replacing spark plugs. It ran OK after plug Change. I'm lost on what happened and how it got this way. Location where it was loose at supercharger. Plug that tube inserts into. Left bank, front. General area of where sensor end of tubing was laying.
Also, this braket was found laying in same general area. Part number on it bring up nothing in search. Appears to electrical connector holder only, but strange.
Looks like it's connected right - how long have you driven the car since installing the new part? I think that bottom part is used to hold the body of the apparatus in place.
I didn't install anything. Tube from supercharger was not connected to it. I reconnected and noticed unattached sensor, then bracket sitting basically under the intercooler coolant lines.
The Amazon packaging as a back drop fooled me into thinking you'd installed a new parts. Ya didn't answer how long you driven the car after you corrected the hose/tube connections.
Ah yeah, box was leftover from Christmas.. After reinstalling vac line I drove about 20 miles. I did clear codes. CEL came on within a minute every time I cleared.
So what is this sensor? I noticed on my car it was also adrift near the supercharger cooling hoses but, since all was well with the car running, I left well enough alone.
