Default Goodridge stainless steel brake hose kits

Going to order Goodridge stainless steel brake hose kit for my car, have been told that the box comes with 3 hoses, thats all need. As i know nothing about this, i would have thought that a hose is need for each wheel so 4. So all i need is the kit with the 3. Any info would be grateful if i need anything else.

Are you sure that kit is for an X150 XK? It says XK150 which is a somewhat older model...

Are you sure the XKR doesn't already have braided hoses from the factory? My XJR has factory fitted braided hoses... check the technical guide for your year...

I think you're right, although I also think they are braided carbon Kevlar rather than steel?
Carbon Kevlar is about as good as it gets (Strong as steel, at half the weight) unless your just looking for aesthetics.

You're right, i pressed the wrong link. Anyway i am putting on new discs and pads front and rear and was wondering do the brake lines need changing, do they become stressed over time. By the way that xk150 looks sweet.

Too Funny!
Yes if one runs out of modifications they can always go backwards.

I had that brand brake lines on my Alfa GTV6. They were a tad shorter than the OEM's they were suppose to be equal to.

You already have Goodridge braided hoses as standard. I took this while doing my rear discs and pads a couple of years ago:

Powerhouse, there's nothing mysterious in looking for brake line wear.

By design, the stainless braiding prevents expansion of the hose when pressure is applied.
Second, the stainless steel braiding helps protect against road debris, salts, etc.

Check them visually look for bulges and corrosion at the fittings and feel for fraying of the braids. Life expectancy of a braided line is around 200k miles give or take.
